Hillies' shocker

Haverhill may be out of the state tournament. The Hillies keep fighting, though. Last night on "Senior Night," the Hillies stepped up big, stunning MVC small champ Tewksbury, 60-56. Captain Matt Fenderson led the way with 16 points. Hard-nosed Albert Maldonado added 10, while fellow seniors Sean Doherty and Gage Alicea combined for 13 points and huge minutes on the floor to preserve the win.

Bede Brilliance

Another night, another brilliant performance by junior guard Wabissa Bede (28 points, 5 3-pointers, 11 rebounds, 5 blocks). He carried North Andover over Tewksbury, the 10th ranked club in the ESPN statewide poll, 65-61. Ryan Good (10 points) "played a great all-around game," said coach Paul Tanglis.

Perry nets 22 but Andover loses to Tewksbury

E.J. Perry poured in 22 points and Connor Merinder added 16 points but Andover lost to MVC foe Tewksbury 63-61.

Perry scored on a drive to the basket to make it 61-60 with 15 seconds remaining.

Tewksbury missed a shot on the ensuing possession but Tewksbury's Henry Roberts collected a rebound and Alex DiRocco converted a 3-pointer with 6.7 seconds left to make it 63-61 Redmen. 

DiRocco then made a steal to win it for Tewksbury.

Andover trailed 22-13 after the first quarter and trailed by 10 points at halftime.

But a 22-8 run in the third quarter put the Golden Warriors on top. 

The fourth quarter went back and fourth with DiRocco playing the hero in the end.

Raiders hand Tewksbury first loss

Central Catholic boys won 78-64 over previously-unbeaten Tewksbury behind  Kevin Fernandez 22 points, including two 3-pointers.
