Eighth-seeded BG stunned unbeaten top seed Salem 3-2 in the Division 1 quarterfinals. BG improved to 11-9 while Salem dropped to 17-1.

Salem's hockey team remained unbeaten (18-0-1) with a 3-1 victory over Bishop Guertin. Cody Soucy had a goal and two assists for the Blue Devils, Kyle Svenson scored twice and Sam MacDonald had 35 saves.

Salem boys hockey rolled 3-0 over Concord behind two goals from Cody Soucy to clinch the No. 1 seed in Division 1 tournament.

Kyle Svenson potted four goals and assisted on another as Salem defeated Bishop Brady 7-1.

John Gray got the turnover and after some nice passes from Cody Soucy and Kyle Svenson drilled the game-winner. His goal midway through the overtime gave unbeaten Salem a 2-1 win over upset-minded St. Thomas. Max Greeley came up big with 25 saves.

Londonderry rallied back to tie Salem early in the third period, but Kyle Nagri struck for a goal midway through the frame and the Blue Devils beat the Lancers 3-2.

SALEM — Kyle Svenson and his Salem teammates knew what was at stake when they skated onto the ice to face Bedford in a battle of New Hampshire hockey unbeatens.

“This game has been marked on our calendars for a long time,” said the senior winger. “We wanted this game bad. We’ve been dreaming of this game for weeks. We knew that if we could beat Bedford, it would give us confidence that we have the ability to win a state championship.”

Salem overcame four separate deficits to send the game to overtime, and Cody Soucy completed the performance with an overtime goal as the Blue Devils downed Pinkerton 6-5. Soucy and linemate Kyle Svenson each scored two goals.

Unbeaten Salem downed South 5-3 on single goals by Cody Soucy, Kyle Svenson, Kyle Nagri, Matt Pappalardo and Chris Lemay.

John Gray took the puck at the blue line, fired a cross ice pass to Kyle Nagri who moved the puck to Chris Lemay, and the winger scored game-winning goal with 0:30 left in regulation as Salem beat Manchester Memorial 3-2.
