METHUEN — With 14 days between its regular season finale, and lone loss of the season, and playoff opener, could Methuen/Tewksbury girls hockey have lost its dominant edge?

For the second time this year and third time in the last two years, the Haverhill-North Andover-Pentucket girls hockey team and Methuen/Tewksbury battled to a 1-1 tie. Alex Casale scored for Haverhill with Kelly Golini netting Methuen's only goal. Michaela Kane had 29 saves for Haverhill (12-2-6) while Kaia Hollingsworth stopped 19 shots for Methuen (16-0-3).

Amanda Downing, Camry Beaulieu and Jolie Chappie scored their first career goals and Methuen-Tewksbury pounded Wayland 11-0 to improve to 12-0-2.

ANDOVER — It got close down the stretch, but Tewksbury-Methuen held on to beat Andover 2-1 Saturday afternoon.

Kelly Golini scored twice for Methuen, and goalie Kaia Hollingsworth had 28 saves in the victory.

Kelly Golini had a hat trick to pace the unbeaten Methuen-Tewksbury girls hockey team (9-0) to a 7-2 victory over Wayland. Eryn Taber added a goal and two assists for Methuen, which has a big game Thursday at Haverhill at 4 p.m.

Kelly Golini stayed hot with a hat trick as Methuen/Tewksbury remained undefeated with a 5-2 victory over Waltham.

Kelly Golini notched a hat trick and Megan Forbes added two more goals as Methuen-Tewksbury rolled over Boston Latin 7-1.

Methuen-Tewksbury girls hockey downed Cambridge Rindge and Latin 4-2 thanks in large part to a hat trick from Kelly Golini. Megan Forbes scored the other goal and Kaia Hollingsworth had 12 saves as Methuen improved to 6-0 on the year.

Kelly Golini scored in the second period and Kaia Hollingsworth (27 saves) made it stand up as Methuen-Tewksbury blanked Lincoln-Sudbury. Kat LeFebre was the defensive star for the 5-0 Red Rangers.

Kat LeFebre and Kelly Golini each scored in Methuen-Tewksbury's 2-1 win over Billerica, bringing the team to 4-0 on the season. Eryn Taber added two assists and Kaia Hollingsworth made 27 saves in net.
