Andre Lopez went 1 for 2 with a run and an RBI, but the Methuen baseball team fell to Acton-Boxboro 5-3 in the first round of the Division 1 North tournament. The Rangers finished the year 11-12.

Jacob Wallace, Nick Panzini, Brendan O'Shea and Andre Lopez each had triples in Methuen's 14-2 victory over Somerville. Jordan Perdomo lead off the game with a home run and got the win on the mound.

Sophomore Jordan Perdomo had a brilliant day, firing a two-hitter while striking out 12 and only walking one. He also scored twice to carry Methuen past Chelmsford 7-0

Nick Panzini blasted a ball over the right fielder's head for a three-run triple, sparking an eight-run fifth inning that led Methuen to a 14-2 upset of Central Catholic. 

Jacob Wallace, who may be the hottest pitcher in the region, fired a two-hitter with two walks and 14 strikeouts as Methuen whipped Medford 7-0. Jacob Thibault had three hits and two RBI and Owen Foote drove in two runs. Wallace helped himself with two hits and two runs.

Will Berberich threw a four-hitter and North Andover blanked Methuen, 4-0. Joe Bramanti and Ryan Bessette each drove in a pair.

Methuen pitcher Jacob Wallace had a stellar outing against Andover, striking out 12 Andover batters in seven innings while only allowing one unearned run in the 3-1 win.

Central Catholic managed just a single hit, but Andrew Purdy walked and scored on a fielder's choice and Noah Lucier took a base on balls and scored on a throwing error as the Raiders edged Methuen 2-1.

A triple by Andre Lopez in the top of the fifth plated two runs that gave Methuen a 5-4 lead it would not surrender. Lopez had three hits on the day - a single and two triples which led to his three rbi's. 

With his 2 for 3 game at the plate on Monday, Methuen's Nick Panzini has now gone 5 for 6 with five runs and four rbi's in the Rangers last two games. Fellow Ranger Brendan O'Shea pitched six innings allowing only two runs, and helped out his cause by going 2 for 4 with a run batted in.
