PLAISTOW — Kate Hoadley remembers her days as a freshmen, leading Timberlane to the New Hampshire Division 1 championship with her stellar work on the mound. The following two years came with heartback after the Owls were upset in the quarterfinals twice, but now as a senior, Hoadley has once again led her team to just two wins from the promise land.

Ally Collins led Timberlane with two triples and three RBI's as the Owls defeated Dover 6-1 to advance to the quarterfinals in the Division 1 softball playoffs. Jess Mezquita crushed a home run, and pitcher Kate Hoadley struck out eight while only allowing one hit. The Owls will play Bishop Guertin in the quarters.

Timberlane got behind 14 strikeouts from Kate Hoadley to defeat Manchester Central 7-1, clinching the No. 1 seed in the New Hampshire Division 1 State Tournament with a 17-1 record. Amy Freeman knocked in Rachel Moore with a double in the first inning, and finished with a team-leading two RBI's.  

Timberlane overcame six errors and scored a run in the 10th inning to nip Alvirne 6-5 to clinch the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Division 1 tournament. Kyleigh Fitzpatrick led off the 10th with a double and scored on a grounder for the final run. Amy Freeman had two doubles, a single and two RBIs and Kate Hoadley struck out 18 while throwing a three-hitter.

Amy Freeman hit a long home run over the wall in center field, sparking Timberlane to an 8-3 win over Bedford. 

SALEM — In a battle of two of New Hampshire's best softball programs, a seemingly harmless pop fly to left field turned out to be the biggest play of the game.

Lauren Herchenroder approached the plate with one out in the top of the seventh, a runner on second and her Timberlane Owls down a run to unbeaten Salem. Herchenroder got under a pitch from Salem starter Camryn Hanninen, skying it to left where it looked as though it would be easily caught by Salem's Alexa Pacy. Forunately for the Owls a gust of wind came at the right time, sending Pacy farther and farther back until she crashed into the left field fence as the ball landed on the other side.

Kaleigh Fitzpatrick and Emily Farone combined on a no-hitter as Timberlane tuned up for Monday's showdown at Timberlane with a 9-0 rout of Nashua South. Fitzpatrck struck out 11 in five innings and Farone whiffed three in two innings. Kaleigh also had three RBIs and sister Kyleigh Fitzpatrick had two triples and two RBIs.

Amanda White had a grand slam and five RBI and Kate Hoadley fanned 11 in a 4-hitter and Timberlane blanked Merrimack 12-0 in 4.5 innings.

Kate Hoadley fired a two-hitter, striking out 15 and walking just one as Timberlane (10-1) blanked Londonderry 4-0. Julia Aziz clouted her first home run of the season, a 2-run shot, to pace the offense.
