With Salem trailing and Dylan McKeon needing a pin in the final match of the day, the 170-pounder took his opponent down in 2:40 to give the Blue Devils a 46-36 win.

Salem won three meets to mover over .500 with a 6-5 mark. Mike Devito was 3-0 at 195 and Matt Adams, Ryan Burke and Jake Rosentrader were all 2-0.

Junior Dylan McKeon had a 15-second pin at 182 pounds to highlight Salem's 48-27 win over Manchester Memorial. Ryan Sanchez and Beau Dillon also had first-period pins.

Salem pulled out probably the closest win you can possibly have in wrestling, beating Bedford 40-39 via the eighth tiebreaking criteria. Salem got pins from Matt Adams, Dylan McKeon and Beau Dillon, but when the final score was tied at 39-39, they had to go through eight tiebreakers before the meet was ultimately decided by Salem having more first points scored.

Timberlane placed 11 wrestlers in today's quarterfinals and had three others alive in the consolation bracket to take a two-point lead heading into the second day of the Lowell Holiday Tournament at the Tsongas Arena.
