Timberlane's boys soccer team ended its season on a sour note, losing to Concord 2-1 in the first round of the Division 1 Tournament. Jacob Stewart scored for the Owls (8-7-1), who lost their last five games after a strong start to the season.

Salem comes back, beats Timberlane in OT thriller

Salem boys soccer has been one of the area's biggest surprises this fall. The Blue Devils came into Saturday's showdown with unbeaten Timberlane with a shining 7-1 record, but many of those wins had come against teams with losing records. So when Salem fell behind 2-0 to Timberlane in the first 10 minutes yesterday, it wouldn't have been unreasonable to question whether the Blue Devils were a serious contender or just a paper tiger.

Well, Salem's answer came through loud and clear. These guys are for real.

Timberlane boys soccer shut out Winnacunnet 4-0 to remain unbeaten on the season. Matt Perry, Niko Kakouris, Michael Giangregorio and Cam Ross each scored and Connor Ross had two assists.

Timberlane sophomore Jacob Stewart scored two goals to lead the Owls to a 2-0 victory over winless Manchester Memorial. Matt Perry and Connor Ross each had assists in the win.
