Ava Bradley didn't want to see her Central Catholic career come to an end.

The senior from Salem led her team with 15 points and 10 rebounds on Saturday, helping the No. 2 Raiders to a 52-44 victory over No. 7 Billerica in the Division 1 North quarterfinals.

LAWRENCE — Her numbers don’t jump out at you, but there is no questioning Katie Kirsch’s value to the Central Catholic girls basketball team.

Freshman Claudia Porto of Salem had a career-high 10 points on a pair of 3's to help Central Catholic take down Methuen 59-40.

Central Catholic's girls clinched at least a share of the MVC title with a 65-22 win over Lawrence. Kaylee Thomas had 13 pouints and 11 rebounds for the Raiders (15-2, 13-0 in the MVC).

Maura Smith scored a career-high 29 points and Central Catholic obliterated Lowell 32-2 in the second quarter on its way to a 70-51 victory. Katie Kirsch had 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the Raiders (13-2).

It didn't come easy, but Central Catholic girls basketball made it 11 wins in a row in a hard-fought 61-53 win over Haverhill. A tie game at the half, Kaylee Thomas (16 points) and Maura Smith (14 points) helped the Raiders secure the win after the break. Ellelandra Arakelow (16 points) led the Hillies on both ends of the floor.

Katie Kirsch scored 17 points and Maura Smith added 15 points as Central Catholic edged North Andover 51-45.

Katie Kirsch had 19 points, 12 rebounds and five steals to lead Central Catholic to a win over Dracut. It marked the fifth win in a row for the Raiders (6-2).

Emily Downer scored a game-high 16 points and added 10 rebounds and four blocks to lead Central Catholic to a 59-30 win over rival Methuen.
