Salem's wrestling team opened its season with a bang, defeating Pinkerton for the first time in six years, 45-35. In a key match Tristen Cabinta bumped up to 195 and pinned Pinkerton standout Sterling McLaughlin. The Blue Devils had five other pins including first period falls by the Chute brothers, Kyle at 132 and Connor at 160.
