The No. 11 Pentucket boys hockey team got off to a hot start in its Division 2 first round game with goals from Cam Martin and Jack Queenan in the first period. But the Sachems couldn't keep up with No. 6 Marblehead, eventually falling 5-2 to end their season 11-9-1 overall.

Richie Hardy was all over the ice for the Pentucket boys hockey team, scoring a pair of goals while dishing out two assists in a 6-4 win over North Reading. Teammate Cam Martin also had four points, notching a goal with three assists.

Pentucket boys hockey took down conference rival Amesbury, 3-2, to move to 5-4-1 overall. Jordan Cane, Jack Queenan and Cam Martin had the goals for the Sachems.

Pentucket's Richie Hardy scored a pair of goals with an assist, and Josh Smith scored what proved to be the game-winner in the second period as Pentucket hockey beat Watertown 4-1 on Monday night. Cam Martin scored a late empty-netter and Jack Queenan had three assists as the Sachems improved to 2-1-1 on the year.

Pentucket hockey faced a furious late rally from Lynnfield, but was able to hold on for the 4-4 tie on Saturday. Cam Martin and Richie Hardy each scored two goals with an assist, Dewitt Purcell had three assists and Brady McClung made 33 saves in net.

Junior Jordan Cane scored his first career goal and freshman goalie Brady McClung made 16 saves in his first start as Pentucket boys hockey blanked Rockport, 4-0, to start the season strong. Cane is a transfer from St. Mary's (Lynn).
