No. 8 Pentucket fell to No. 9 Winchester 2-1 in the  first round of the Division 1 North field hockey tourney yesterday afternoon.

Hannah Wilkins scored the lone Pentucket  (11-4-5) goal 5:48 into the second half on an assist from Shannon Beaton. Mel Coffin scored both of Winchester's goals, the second with less than five minutes remaining in the second half.

Kylie O'Maley made 11 stellar saves as Pentucket bested Masconomet 1-0. Cayla MacLean scored the lone goal eight minutes into the second half in a scrum in front of the net.

Sophomore Megan Haley had two saves in her first varsity field hockey game as Pentucket rolled to a 2-0 win over Wilmington.

For the first time in three years, Pentucket field hockey beat North Andover 1-0. Tayla Poretta scored the only goal in the game and Kylie O'Maley recorded a shutout with seven saves.

Hannah Wilkins and Bernadette Corrado both scored during Pentucket's 2-0 win over Amersbury. With the win, Pentucket qualifies for the State Tournament. Charlotte Pope and Laura Kuchar played excellant during the game.

Shannon Beaton erupted for two goals and an assist as Pentucket field hockey whipped Ipswich 3-0 to remain unbeaten.

Kristen Pingree scored on a rebound with five seconds left as Georgetown earned the 1-1 field hockey tie with Pentucket.
