Salem's volleyball team coasted into the Division 1 semifinals with a straight-game sweep of Hollis-Brookline. Rachel Towler had 29 assists and 13 service points for the Blue Devils, who face No. 1 Merrimack Wednesday.  

Nicolette Fallisi had a huge game, with 15 kills, six service points including three aces and 12 digs to pace Salem past Timberlane in straight games in the Division 1 volleyball first round. Ashley Matthews chipped in with nine kills for the Blue Devils.  

After dropping the first game, Salem's volleyball team roared back to whip Dover 3-1, winning the second game 25-5. Nicolette Fallisi led the Blue Devils (13-4) with 17 kills, 13 service points and 9 digs.

Trailing after the first two games, Salem won the next three to slip past Concord. Rachel Towler had nine aces among 15 service points and led in assists with 13 while Ashley Matthews contributed 10 kills and 16 digs.

Pinkerton's volleyball team needed a fifth game before remaining undefeated, edging Salem.  Olivia Mathieu had 15 kills while Elizabeth Hicks collected 34 assists for the Astros (6-0). Rachel Towler had 31 assists for Salem.
