LOWELL — Madison Borrelli immediately jumped up after sliding into third in the bottom of the seventh, clapping ferociously and screaming at her teammates "Lets go!" The magic number in her head was two, as the hit was her second triple of the game, but more importantly two was the deficit Central Catholic faced in its final at-bat.

The Central Catholic softball team won its ninth straight game, 6-0 over Danvers, to improve to 18-2 and likely earn the No. 1 seed in the Division 1 North tournament. Pitcher Niamh Walker notched her second straight shutout and has only given up one run in the last four games while red-hot Bella Jankowski was 2 for 4 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Central Catholic needed nine innings to finally plate a run, but thankfully Niamh Walker did more than hold the Burlington bats in check. Walker drove in a run in the top of the ninth inning, and was pitching a perfect game into the bottom half until allowing her only hit of the game. 

Central Catholic's softball team won its seventh straigh, 6-1 over Reading. Molly Hamel was 2 for 3 with two runs scored for the Raiders (17-2).

Leila Camplese hit a grand slam in the bottom of the third to fuel Central Catholic to a victory over Danvers. Niamh Walker pitched the shutout for the Raiders.

Central Catholic rolled past North Andover, 11-3, to improve to 11-2 and clinch the outright MVC Large title. Madison Borrelli and Hayley Andrade both drove in three runs and Bella Jankowski plated a pair.

Central's victory over Tewksbury gave the Raiders win number 10 on the season, which qualifies them for the Division 1 North tournament. Hailey Cockcroft knocked in two runs and Niamh Walker completed the shutout on the mound.

Bella Jankowski was 3 for 5 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBIs and Haley Andrade and Alexa Plentzas belted home runs as Central crushed Lawrence 22-3. Plentzas had five RBIs on the day for the Raiders (7-1), one more than Andrade.

Molly Hamel stroked a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to give Central Catholic a 3-2 victory over Lowell.

Niamh Walker threw a four-hitter and drove in two runs as Central Catholic softball opened with a big 4-0 win over highly touted Chelmsford. Molly Hamel contributed two hits, two runs and an RBI.
