For the first time since 1984, the Greater Lawrence volleyball team failed to make the state tournament. The Reggies (9-10) seemed to be on their way, winning the first two games, but Mystic Valley then won the next three, the last by a 15-12 score after trailing 9-3. Alegna Reyes shined in defeat with 8 kills, 8 blocks, 17 service points and 5 aces.

 The Northern Essex Community College volleyball team played well but  lost to Bunker Hill in four games. Lawrence's Katherine Quevedo had 23 digs and five aces for Leiza Cabrera had nine kills.

Greater Lawrence got 14 big kills from Shakira Murrell, and the Reggies took down O'Bryant in straight games 25-15, 25-18, 25-11. Kate Richiez added 10 assists, and Gamarieliz Cancel had two aces on 12 service points.

Presentation of Mary hasn't enjoyed much success against Greater Lawrence in volleyball over the years but the Panthers got a great team effort for a 3-1 victory over the Reggies Monday — their first win of the season. Camille Holleran and Marissa Reardon both had seven kills and Holleran added a pair of blocks.

Shakira Nurrell had 14 kills and 13 service points as Greater Lawrence clipped Cathedral 3-1 in volleyball.

Greater Lawrence trailed 2-1 and looked to be in trouble, but then sophomore Shanele Henriquez came in off the bench and shut down Chelsea's offense, making 10 digs in the last two sets to help lead the Reggies to an exciting 3-2 win. Shakira Merrill scored six straight points to finish off the win.
