BEDFORD — Maybe it was just Gilford's time to finish on top.

Pelham field hockey stunned No. 1 seeded Monadnock 2-1 in double OT, with Emily Bevens scoring the game-winner. Shannon Morin scored the first goal for the Pythons, who will face No. 2 seed Gilford in the Division 3 championship game on Sunday at noon at Bedford High.

Pelham field hockey got a goal and an assist from Abbey Bevens and Shannon Weisensee to beat Stevens 2-0 in the N.H. Division 3 quarterfinals. Pelham plays No. 1 seeded Monadnock in the semfinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.

Abbey Bevens scored just two minutes into the game, and Shannon Weisensee added three more goals to give Pelham the 4-0 win over Bishop Brady in the first round of the Division 3 field hockey tournament. Sarah Ratcliffe and Abby Gagnon played great defensively, allowing only one shot on goalie Emily Williams. The No. 4 seeded Pythons will play No. 5 Stevens, who beat Bow 2-1, at home Saturday at 2 p.m.

Pelham's field hockey team rolled on, improving to 11-1 with a 3-0 win over Mascenic. Abbey Bevens had a goal and an assist and Emily Bevens also assisted.

The Pelham field hockey team shut out Pembroke to remain unbeaten at 5-0. Abbey Bevens and Sarah Morin each had two goals in the win.

Shannon and Sydney Weisensee accounted for five goals between them as Pelham won its third straight game, crushing Bishop Brady 8-0.

Pelham field hockey crushed Conant on Friday, taking a 8-0 halftime lead before finishing with a 10-0 victory. Abbey Bevens had two goals and an assist, and eight other players also scored in the big win.
