Andover volleyball knew it faced a massive task in the Division 1 North semifinals, against a North Andover squad that had already beaten the Golden Warriors in the regular season.

McBride keys win

 

Julia McBride had a huge all-around game to pace the Andover volleyball team to an impressive 3-1 win over an 18-2 Winchester club. McBride had 15 kills, 17 assists and 20 digs for the Warriors (17-3) while Kendra Moore chipped in with 14 kills and six blocks.

Revenge

Andover (14-3) volleyball avenged an earlier season loss to rival Central Catholic with a 3-1 win over the Raiders Monday on the road. Jillian Webber had 11 kills, and senior captain Julia McBride had 19 digs. It was Central's (15-2) first loss since its season-opening L to state power Barnstable.

The Andover girls volleyball team beat Lowell 3-1, with Julia McBride recording 14 kills and 6 digs to lead the way. Andover is now 10-2 on the year and his qualified for the postseason.

Sophomore Alexis Mancha led the way in Andover's 3-0 game sweep of Chelmsford, leading the Warriors in kills (7), assists (11) and digs (7). Sophia Wang contributed six aces on 19 service points as the Warriors improved to 6-0.

Mighty Mancha

Alexis Mancha was all over the court in Andover's 3-0 game sweep of Billerica Wednesday. She led the Warriors in assists (13), aces (3) and digs (15). Jillian Webber also helped the Warriors get to an undefeated 3-0 with her team-leading 7 kills. Andover has another MVC showdown on Firday when it hosts Methuen at 6 p.m.
