Justin Pitari had the hat trick and senior Kelan Mackey posted his first win of the year with a nice 25-save effort. They powered Methuen to a 6-2 win over Everett. Methuen improved to 11-2-3, its most wins since going 15-6 in the 1993-94 season.

Rangers tourney bound

Patrick Copper scored a career-high four goals as Methuen clinched its first state tournament appearence since 2012 with a 5-3 victory over Concord-Carlisle. Brett Blackwell added the other goal for the Rangers (9-2-2).

Flurry of goals

Down 2-0 heading into the third period, Methuen got three goals in the first five minutes of the final frame. Ryan Mackey netted two, and Connor O'Malley scored the third. Acton-Boxboro scored a short-handed goal late in the third to end the game in a 3-3 tie.
