NORTH BILLERICA — Drew Cioffi is used to regularly lighting up the scoresheet during lacrosse season. Three, four, five goals or more isn’t uncommon for the University of Tampa recruit.

NORTH ANDOVER — With the dream of a hat trick dancing in his head, Zach Keating admits his excitement may have overtaken him for a moment.

“I almost had that third (goal),” he said with a laugh. “I’m the only one on my line that doesn’t have a hat trick this season, and I may have gotten a little over excited. I may have been trigger happy.”

Ben Carlson made 19 saves and earned an assist on a North Andover goal as the Scarlet Knights took a 4-2 victory over Haverhill. Hillies goalie Shane Corbett made 37 saves and allowed just three goals. The final was empty net.

Tyler Bonopane had a pair of goals and both Matt Lucy and Nolan Heinze had two assists as surging North Andover (10-6-3) clipped Concord-Carlisle 4-1.

Jake Sitak scored with 6:15 to play to give North Andover a 1-1 tie with Medford. Senior defenseman Casey Hughes had his best game and Ben Carlson stopped 22 Mustang shots.

Sophomore Shaun McKay scored his first career varsity goal to help North Andover beat Lincoln-Sudbury 3-0. Ben Carlson made 35 saves to record his first shutout of the season.

Team leading scorer Matt Lucy scored a short-handed goal for the winning point and added another goal and an assist as North Andover handed Danvers its first loss, 6-3. Matt Bosco added a pair of assists for the Knights (7-3-2), who played perhaps their best game of the season. 

Norh Andover put away four goals early in the first period to set the tone in an 8-2 beating of Concord-Carlisle. The Knights were led by two goals each from Matt Bosco, Patrick Moran and Zach Keting. Matt Lucy also added a goal and had three assists.

North Andover scored four times in the first period on its way to a 5-1 victory over Wakefield. Pat Moran had two goals and an assist for the Knights (5-2-2) and Matt Lucy had a goal and two assists.

Junior Tyler Buonapane scored a hat trick and added an assist as North Andover ripped Dracut 7-2. Zach Keating had three assists.
