Isabelle Comerford won at first singles 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, and the first doubles team of Jess Langston and Tina Gichana won 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, but it wasn't enough as North Andover girls tennis fell 3-2 to Wilmington in a tightly contested Division 2 North First Round match. The Scarlet Knights wrap up the season 12-5.

North Andover and Amesbury girls tennis was tied at 2-2 when the match was suspended by rain. The final match will be completed Sunday. The Knights' Jess Langston and Tina Gichana are tied 6-3, 2-2 at second doubles.

Gabby DePietro avoided a Lowell sweep in singles, prevailing 6-4, 6-3 at second singles and North Andover won both doubles as the Knights prevailed 3-2 over Lowell to improve to 9-1.

North Andover girls tennis pulled out a close 3-2 win over Tewksbury to improve to 8-1 and qualify for the state tournament. Isabelle Comerford got the win at first singles and the teams of Jess Langston and Tina Gichana and Julia Webster and Lizzie Lynch won at doubles to clinch the win.

Annette Kim and Sidney Conway battled for a 6-0, 1-6, 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles to help Andover deal North Andover its first loss of the season, 5-0.
