For the first time in 20 years, Phillips Academy won the NEITA title by defeating Taft School, 4-2 at Groton School. Mark Adamson clinched the title with his 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 victory at second singles, and freshman James Heaney climbed back from a 5-0 third-set deficit to win at fifth singles. "We were in some danger when we lost our doubles matches and had to win four of six singles matches but the kids played brilliantly," head coach Greg Wilkin said.
