Who will be the top boys basketball teams this year?
North Andover has the talent to do some real damage this year. This team has two returning all-stars in seniors Sean Mcmanus and Steve Boudreau. Hayden Yeazel has emerged as the teams big man at 6'5", he is an unstoppable threat underneath. Steve Collura has explosive speed up the court. There will be few teams that can match the talent of North Andover. The team will have its hands full early this year with league matchups against Wilimington and Masco. Strength: Leadership and Experience Weakness: Lack of depth off the Bench Predictions: Record: 15-5 CAL Champs
#3 12/03/2007 04:30 PMNorth Andover is going to take the league without a doubt. WIll Big Will Enright and his unstopable jumpshot the knights will be unstoppable
#6 12/06/2007 08:44 AMCentral Catholic is loaded but Andover will challenge. Dont count out Methuen. They are athletic and hungry. Should be a great winter of packed gyms and exciting games. Basketball reigns North of Boston finally.
#8 12/12/2007 08:38 PMWith Will Enright leading the North Andover Knights this season, its safe to say they will take CALs easily and should make some noise in the playoffs.
#9 12/13/2007 08:17 PMPeople need to give Mike Trovato time at Haverhill. He'll do a good job... Central is tops, but not without Gonzalez... Andover beat Leominster when they went with the juniors, Polanco and Arnold... North Andover will get better as time goes on.
#11 12/17/2007 11:47 AMNorth Andover has more than just McManus and Boudreau this year with big man Hayden Yeazel erupting as a scoring force. Steve Collura also brings speed and a passing ability the Knights need. Will Enright, Jeff Surrette, and sophomore Tommy O'Connel will fill some roles but after that the Knights look weak. With that said, no one is topping Central Catholic. They are too loaded and deep for anyone else in the region to compete with.
#12 12/18/2007 04:31 PMyeah right north andover, hamilton wenham all the way because of two great guards in freshman mike carter and sophomore james rodrigues
#13 12/24/2007 11:06 AMCape Ann Large- definately Newburyport and Cape Ann Small is all Georgetown this year and for the next 2-3 years. North Reading is up there in competition for Cape Ann Small ...And, even tho' their record is not strong yet, Manchester Essex is strong as well.
#14 12/26/2007 10:03 PMGeorgetown Blue Crew is obviously so far the best cheering section, we went to the tiger den and were a lot louder then them and had more fans.
#15 01/15/2008 09:39 PMfor real georgetown has it because all these new players keep comin every year and they just keep getting better and beetter every yeah and the crowd helps wile i do my thang
