Nick Depasquale scored three goals and assisted on three more as No. 10 Georgetown downed No. 7 Whittier 9-2 in the first round of the Division 3 North tournament. Mike Gochakowski added three goals for the Royals, who move on to face No. 2 Hamilton-Wenham on Saturday at 2p.m.

It was a tight 8-5 win in the regular season but in yesterday's State Vocational Large School title game, Whittier pounded Shawsheen 9-2. Eli Roy had three goals, Devin Houde two and Tyler Tannian two for the Cats. Patrick Rodden turned aside 11 shots.

Patrick Rodden turned in 10 saves as Whittier rolled over Tri-County 9-1 in the semifinals of the Technical School tournament. Eli Roy scored five goals for the Wildcats, who will host Shawsheen for the Tech title today.

Whittier clinched the CAC Small title with a 14-8 win over Minuteman. Patrick Rodden recorded 15 saves and Robert Gramstorff scored four goals.

Robert Gramstorff scored his first varsity goal and also added an assist at Whittier boys lacrosse won 6-3 over Mystic Valley.

Patrick Rodden stopped 14 shots.

Jeff Porter scored a game-high five goals and Connor Beaton added two goals and four assist to lead Pentucket past Whittier 15-2.

Jacob Fudge, who was switched to attack this year to fuel the offense, scored four goals and had two assists and Eli Roy added four goals to pace Whittier to a 13-10 win over Minuteman.
