Depasquale, Georgetown upend Whittier

Nick Depasquale scored three goals and assisted on three more as No. 10 Georgetown downed No. 7 Whittier 9-2 in the first round of the Division 3 North tournament. Mike Gochakowski added three goals for the Royals, who move on to face No. 2 Hamilton-Wenham on Saturday at 2p.m.

Whittier 9, Shawsheen Valley 2

It was a tight 8-5 win in the regular season but in yesterday's State Vocational Large School title game, Whittier pounded Shawsheen 9-2. Eli Roy had three goals, Devin Houde two and Tyler Tannian two for the Cats. Patrick Rodden turned aside 11 shots.

Patrick Rodden turned in 10 saves as Whittier rolled over Tri-County 9-1 in the semifinals of the Technical School tournament. Eli Roy scored five goals for the Wildcats, who will host Shawsheen for the Tech title today.
