Masconomet Chieftains Softball '14

Hornet rally

 

North Reading's softball team remained on a roll (7-1) thanks to two runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game and a run in the bottom of the ninth in a 6-5 victory over Masconomet. Tarah Reilly (3 for 3) had an RBI double for the game-winner and freshman Cassidy Gaeta had a two-run homer.

Pentucket's softball team lost a heartbreaker, 3-2, to Masconomet despite a one-hitter thrown by Carley Desjardins. Pentucket, led by Tyler Feeney and Maddie Binding with three hits apiece, left 11 runners on base.
