A young Whittier squad made inroads at the Tyngsboro Tournament, placing fifth. The Wildcats had seven placers, led by 182-pound runner-up John Michitson. Pelham, which placed 10th, was led by 145-pound champion Jason Gleason, It was the largest tourney crown ever won by the Python senior.
