Savior Simourian

John Simourian only had one hit on the day, but it turned out to be the biggest of the game. He lined a double in the bottom of the eighth that plated the game winning run for Phillips in a 2-1 victory over Brooks. Matt Wesoloski picked up the win, pitching four innings of relief while only allowing one hit.

HAVE A DAY, JAKE

Freshman Jake McElroy of North Andover had quite a day for himself, powering Brooks past Milton Academy, 9-7. McElroy earned the win in relief, throwing 2.2 innings of hitless ball. With Brooks down 7-6 in the sixth, he also helped himself with a clutch two-run single to take the lead.

Big start for Brooks

Paul Capozzi had a big day at the plate and on the mound to lead Brooks to a big 10-2 opening day win over St. Paul's, going 3 for 3 with three runs and three RBIs while allowing just two runs in four innings to get the win. Gavin Cann also went 3 for 4 with four runs and an RBI, and Jack Hughes went 2 for 4 with a run and three RBIs.
