Hornets bow out

 

North Reading's boys had No. 1 seed Jeremiah Burke on the ropes in the Division 3 boys soccer quarterfinals but couldn't hold on, dropping a 2-1 decision. Antonio Catino scored for the Hornets (10-8-2) in the first half but Burke rallied with two goals in the last eight minutes for the victory.

Qualifies again

 

The North Reading boys soccer team tripped Dracut 3-1 to qualify for the state tournament for the seventh straight year. Antonio Catino and Anthony Tramontozzi both had a goal and an assist for the Hornets (8-7-2)

Catino Connection

Senior Antonio Catino scored his first career varsity goal in North Reading's 3-0 win over Triton, and it was assisted by his brother Nick Catino, who is a junior. The Hornets scored all three of their goals during an 11-minute period in the first half, one by Catino and the other two by Cam Davis.
