Whittier dominated Northeast from start to finish en route to an 86-51 win in the first round of the Division 3 North tournament. Jonathan Pryor scored 21 points and Jamison Santos had 18 points. Whittier will next face No. 4 seeded Lynnfield in the quarterfinals on Sunday.

Whittier hit 12 3-pointers, led by four from Anthony Buckley, as the Wildcats held tough to beat Shawsheen 70-67.

Whittier's Jonathan Pryor had a monster game, scoring a season-high 27 points with five 3-pointers to help beat Mystic Valley 84-69. Jamison Santos also had 20 points in the win.

After losing three out of four games, the Whittier boys basketball team got back on track with a big 80-79 win over Lynn Tech. Jamison Santos led the way with 27 points and Anthony Buckley had 23, including 10 made free throws.

Lawrence's Julie Torres had eight points and three blocks to help the Austin Prep girls smother Somerviile 52-28.

Up by only a point heading into the fourth quarter, Whittier locked it down defensively and held Minuteman to just two points in the final frame to crack open an eventual 74-55 victory.

Anthony Buckley and Jamison Santos had another big game, scoring 23 and 22 points respectively, but Whittier fell to Greater Lowell 78-72 to fall to 10-2 on the year.

Whittier boys basketball continued its resurgent season with a 70-61 win over Mystic Valley. Anthony Buckley had 26 points and Jamison Santos had 24 to help the Wildcats improve to 8-1.

It was quite the day for Jamison Santos, who knocked down three 3's and finished with 35 points to lead Whittier to a convincing 78-50 win over Essex Tech.

Jonathan Pryor went off for six 3-pointers on his way to a season-high 22 points as Whittier beat Ipswich 79-61. Jamison Santos led the team with 25 points and Brendyn Downer had 14.
