Finishing strong

The Newburyport softball team blanked Masconomet 12-0 to finish the season 11-7 overall. The Clippers will now have about a week and a half off as they await their first round matchup in the state tournament.

Pentucket held on for a wild 8-7 softball victory over Masconomet. Autumn West led the way with  two hits and three RBIs and catcher Megan McCoy stood out defensively and had two hits and two RBIs.

Vikings down Masco

Katherine Quigley pitched a complete game shutout as the Triton softball team beat Masconomet 7-0. Bridget Sheehan had a double and a single with 3 RBIs, Emily Karvielis had two doubles and 3 RBIs and Grace McGongle was 3 for 4 with two runs as the Vikings improved to 4-1 on the year.
