Reggies knock off Whittier

ANDOVER – The Fall 2 football season ended for a couple of area teams Wednesday afternoon with a blast of light and a loud bang.

It was rain at the end of the third quarter that first forced a game delay with Greater Lawrence leading visiting Whittier 24-8, but it was the ensuing lightning and thunder that forced officials to call the match complete before the fourth quarter began.

Wildcats win in OT

 

BILLERICA — When it comes to ball control, no one has done it any better this year than WHittier Tech.

With constant pounding up the middle mixed in with some sweeps, the Wildcats dominated the clock Saturday afternoon and came away with a dramatic 20-14 overtime victory over Shawsheen.

HAVERHILL — When it comes to ball control, Whittier Tech is becoming a model.

For the second straight game, the Wildcats ran the ball over and over again with great results and it translated to a 28-7 victory over Nashoba Tech in a rare Tuesday afternoon game.
