Andover's field hockey team celebrated the return of Tori Roche by whipping Methuen 6-0 in the first round of the Division 1 North tournament. Roche, who was out three weeks with an ankle injury, had a hat trick and Brenna Keefe had a goal and an assist as thw Warriors improved to 17-1-1. They'll host Belmont at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Methuen's field hockey team won its Division 1 North preliminary game Wednesday afternoon, blanking MVC foe Lawrence, 1-0. Rachel Vins scored in the first half for the Rangers (11-7), who play at Andover Friday, and the defense did the rest. Catrina Crowe played a strong game in the midfield and Jenna Ciccotelli had two saves, Nairobi Ubilez had six saves for Lawrence.

The Methuen field hockey team wrapped up the MVC Division 2 title with a 3-0 victory over Lowell. Shannon Delaney had a goal and two assists for the Rangers (10-7) and Alyssa Drouin and Catrina Crowe also scored. Annie Sears shined on defense and Madison Adames had eight saves in the shutout.

Methuen's field hockey team qualified for the state tournament with a 3-0 victory over Malden. Alyssa Drouin, Catrina Crowe, and Rachel Zins scored for the Rangers (9-6).

Andover field hockey beat Methuen 4-1. Interesting note, Alyssa Drouin scored first goal against Warriors the whole season. Also for MHS, Annie Sears had a big game, Morgan Adames notched the assist and twin Madison Adames 23 saves.

Catrina Crowe, Alyssa Drouin and Rachel Zins scored and Morgan Adames and Lauren McDonough also starred as Methuen blanked Everett 3-0.

In a 3-0 Methuen field hockey win over Lowell, Alyssa Drouin scored twice, Annie Sears and Megan Bruneau led the defense and Cassie Mazzone shined at midfield.

For the first time in memory, Lawrence field hockey has a winning record. Mariel Tapia was all over the field defensively and Yankelly Villa and Cristal Diaz scored in the Lancers' 2-0 win over Methuen. Nairobi Ubilez notched 11 big saves.
