The Brooks and Cushing Academy field hockey teams battled to a scoreless tie through two overtimes of its Class B opener Wedmesday afternoon before Cushing prevailed 2-1 in a shootout. Kelly Raymond scored the only goal for Brooks (11-7-1) in the shootout and goalie Natalie Hartel of Andover had three saves in regulation and overtime and three in the shootout.
