Jaguars lose pitching duel

 

Jaime Cleasby pitched her heart out but it wasn't enough Saturday as Windham lost a 1-0 pitcher's duel to Pembroke in nine innings in the Division 2 quarterfinals. Cleasby allowed only four hits and one walk, struck out 13 and didn't allow an earned run as the No. 2 seed Jaguars fell to 15-4.

Upton's fruit punch powers Windham

WINDHAM – The ball never rose above 10 feet. Yet, it cleared the six-foot fence some 200 feet away and traveled deep into the woods.

It doesn't take a math teacher to figure that Alyssa Upton's third homer of the season was hit pretty hard.

Jaguars prevail

 

Windham pushed a run across in the bottom of the ninth for a 5-4 victory over Souhegan. Cailyn Costa and Rachel Rogers both had two hits, scored twice and had an RBI and Jaime Cleasby got the win in relief.

Jags win showdown

With the tying run on third with two outs in the seventh inning, Jamie Cleasby was able to force the Goffstown batter to pop out, finishing off Windham's 2-1 squeaker. That was just the second loss of the season for Goffstown, while the Jaguars improved to 11-2. Jordan Hillyer drove in both runs for the winners.

Jaime Cleasby threw a brilliant one-hitter, striking out eight and walking just one as Windham slipped past Sanborn 2-0. Olivia Estes was 2 for 3 and scored a run for the Jaguars (9-2).

Rachel Rogers went the distance for the win, striking out nine, and helped her own cause with two RBIs and Alyssa Upton was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored as Windham clipped Plymouth 8-3.

Cleasby is perfect

 

Jaime Cleasby threw the first perfect game in Windham history in a 16-0 blowout of Lebanon that went five innings. Cleasby struck out 12 of the 15 batters she faced. Rachel Estes, Christina Steere and Jordan Hillyer all had four hits for the Jaguars (7-2).
