Girls hockey player Callie Wiley was hurt in Andover 2-0 playoff loss to Duxbury on Saturday. Early in the evening when he was heading to the hospital, Golden Warrior coach Kevin Drew was extremely concerned. But at 8:30 p.m. he called and said, "She is fine. She had a concussion. Her neck is sore but no breakage."

Called up from the JV team for the tournament, freshmen Emma Gilmartin and Alex Johnson each scored their first career varsity goal as No. 25 Andover rolled over No. 8 Quincy/North Quincy in the Division 1 first round.

Once-beaten Arlington Catholic held off Andover, 2-0, in a non-league girls hockey matchup. Coach Kevin Drew's Andover squad fell to 6-11-2.

ANDOVER — It got close down the stretch, but Tewksbury-Methuen held on to beat Andover 2-1 Saturday afternoon.

Kelly Golini scored twice for Methuen, and goalie Kaia Hollingsworth had 28 saves in the victory.

Freshman Callie Wiley scored all three goals for the Andover girls hockey team in a 3-2 victory over Acton-Boxboro.

Haverhill-Pentucket-North Andover goalie Michaela Kane stuffed Andover on a penalty shot late in the second period, helping her team pull out a hard-fought 2-1 win.
